BMW mini fuel pump Locosters to the rescue please
Mates got a BMW mini diesel, it died, bmw want 2k to repair it, problem relates to a valve in the fuel pump.
any suggestions of known faults or easy fixes?

I couldn't see any; where you looking at the fuel pumps for the standard 1.6 petrol engine? High pressure diesel pumps in good condition would
tend to fetch quite a bit of money.

Got
2009 BMW MINI 1.6L Diesel Injection Pump 0445010102 | eBay
and
2004 BMW MINI 1.4L Diesel Injection Pump 0445101106 | eBay
and a few others up to £200
