97 Passat fitting aftermarket head unit

Hi guys,

Recently bought a Passat TDI (97 R plate) off someone on here and am replacing the stock tape player this evening with a Kenwood head unit I picked up off ebay cheap. Does anyone know if I need know if I need a wiring harness adapter? I cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere so thought i'd try my luck on here!

Cheers
