Part 11 of the V5 is the notification part for permanent export Ivo. Just get the guy to fill that in and whack it off to the DVLA so they can bugger up the rest!

A friend of mine sold a car to Cyprus.

The tax disc was colour copied for the new owner to take the car to the port and the original was then returned for a refund.

And I'm sorting private plates out in tje morning so will ask about tax discs.

I think the guy will post it back, he seems a decent type so far.

are you taking a private plate off the car?

if so you might not have the V5 to give him, at our local DVLA office they just take the paperwork off you and you get MOT, and tax disc in the post in about a week, then the V5 follows a week or so later

He is here Monday night to collect, flying Prague -gatwick then to Newcastle.

If I don't have a v5 to give him, he will have everything else. Including a covering letter from me.

An update

If the private plate is on retention, I could of gone into dvlc and came out with a new tax disc , however mine wasn't.

So I was told I could not sell the car to the Czech republic on Monday.

Bit of a problem as the buyer had already booked flights without speaking to me, quick text to him from dvlc to hold back buying flights.

As I suspected , and someone pointed out here. They kept the v5 and mot and I get everything back with the original vrm in 7 days.

Not farting in anymore with private plates, it's gone on retention @£105 and is going on eBay soon.

And my Czech buyer has paid up a deposit and is very keen to buy.

What a chew on, because of the plate otherwise it would of been fairly straightforward.
