how to find a previous owned car
hi all
does anyone know if there is a way of finding the whereabouts of a previously owned car.
my dad used to own a capri and it was his pride and joy but when younger, me and brother forced him to sell it to get a new car.
we are now thinking of seeing if its still going and if so, see if the owner would sell.
i know its a long shot but would like to buy it for him as a retirement present.
thanks
steve

I think it would, I believe they don't show up on the search if they are scrapped. I think it's probably SORN.
Getting the information on current ownership out of the DVLA is very hard, and requires a really good reason (usually legally related).
