someone in the know told me it's called "dog knob red", don't think that's the description that will appear on the tin,...!

Thanks for that mate - looks more accurate than some of the other guesses.

I believe it is generally known in the trade as DC red (Dog c*** red ) but it doesn't really help when trying to buy a touch up stick!

Don't forget that red will have faded, so the match might not be exact anyways.
