Cheapest shelving for garage?
So, before the WLM* give me a kicking for not having my Locost on the road I've got a massive list of jobs to do on it in a tiny garage with few
facilities.
To cut a long story short I've got the garage floor dry and painted and now painted the walls.
Now I want a cheap way to shelve it smartly.
I shelved a large cupboard recently with London brackets and half-widths of flooring grade chipboard.

Is there a cheaper way of doing it than this for the garage? I doubt it but would like to know!

and they do free delivery rather than screwfix £10 or whatever.
i found some cheap shelving at an old nettos as they are closing down.
just find one local and get it free :O)

If its a tiny garage then a shelf all the way round at an high level will be less intrusive and give lots of storage.

I've got BigDug shelving, it's not the cheapest but it's great
google it (sorry just rushing out)

My daughter is moving soon, and probably wont be using the old wardrobes, we could break them up, and use the sides/doors etc cut into nice 12"
wide shelving, with some cheapo brackets (ive got about 20 of them as well)

Brackets from Parker poo tools and mdf cut to a decent width, set high around the garage, above heed height
Cost the price of the brackets, rest I had kicking about. Used plenty brackets to deal with the weight.
Cost maybe £15.
As per previous post - mine is old IKEa furniture

I just bought a few pairs of these...
http://www.screwfix.com/p/upright-1400-x-25mm-white-pack-of-2/56901
..and the associated 370mm brackets, and had B&Q cut a sheet of MDF into 9th's. (800x400mm). Total cost was about £65 for 9 shelves.
Dunno how the price compares, but they work well for me.

I used the twinslot shelving from Toolstation. Cheap enough and adjustable..

I use those london brackets and 5/8ths ply strips. I build everything in ply, my lathe bench is a work of art and about 4% of the price of a
commercial unit of similar build/stiffness.
