2008 Corsa Heater Problem
The misses has a 2008 Corsa with climate control. Recently the blower has been working intermittently and now is making a racket when working (noise
is like a lolly stick on the spokes of a spinning bike wheel )
If the fan is turned on to the high setting it blows very slowly. Sometimes it won't blow at all but if you give it a bash it will start working
again, albeit still noisy.
Anyone have an idea what's up, or is just plain old knackered?
Cheers.

Fan bearing has probably gone, so knackered.

Used to have a Montego that did exactly that ----- used to smack the fan casing and it would work fine for a few months.
Either the motor is foobarred or there is debris in the casing.

Had similar to this on a peugeot
Stripped it all out and it turned out the fan had a crack in it
Cured it with Araldite

Thanks for the replies.
The problem was that it was full of leaves. Cleaned them out and gave the bearing a liberal squirt of WD40 and Fanny's your aunt.
