how big is a rubber suspension cone from a mini?
I'm looking for a rubber block to use as a suspension damper in my (pedal) recumbent trike. The mini rubber cone looks OK if it is the right
size. The thing is, all the pictures I've found have no reference in them. It could be an inch wide or a foot wide. How big are they?

About the size of a well proportioned woman!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

From memory about 4-5" diameter. I'd think you'd need a fair leverage ratio for the weight you're looking at as a pair carry
the front of a Mini with a ratio of a about 3-1 & the rear at 5-1.
Mabye a bump stop would be more in line with the weight you're dealing with?

That's not a bad idea. I've got a spare one somewhere too!

This might also be worth a look. Very similar to the way small trailer
suspension units work.

The theory is fine, indeed the inventor of the mini suspension uses exactly the same for his bikes.
Maybe you can get a 'repair' part from his company.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

This may be to vague tbf, but iirc on either theminiforum.com or minifinity.com there is some drawings for adjustable cones that fit these donuts,
that might help? maybe??

That size is about right, Mr. Allanson, but the age of the cup contents is all important.
A new cone is akin to an over 50's 38D, an old cone more like a firm and nubile 20 yr old.
