Quite a while I'd think. It would take a lot of effort to polish the original grain out in the first instance and then have to buff it up to a
bright polish would require a lot of hours. That would then lead you onto the question of why would you want to do it? DeLorean was a fiasco and I
think the cars have only found cult status because of the notoriety, not because they were a particularly good car.

cult status because of back to the future, i always wanted one since back to the future came out, i learned how bad they were, how he screwed the
government for loads of money, crap engine, poor choice of running gear etc, and i STILL want one

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Good point and an option I'd overlooked. It is still fairly costly to do though with the chrome vinyl.

Just goes to show, if you polish a turd you are left with... a shiney turd *
*all in jest, as I really do like the Delorean. Was a pretty good business model IIRC. Get loads of investors money and do a runner. Live on an island
with Lord Lucan, Uncle Ron and Jack Delorean.

I reckon that has been wrapped! Imagine the effort to keep it looming like that if it was polished! You'd get through some Autosol!

To my eye that is polished. Stainless will not tarnish like ally does.
Cheers

You can do it quickly. You can do it cheap. You can do it right. – Pick any two.
