Aftermarket car stereos

Peeps,

the exceptionally crap stereo (6cd multichanger thing) normal stereo size, unit has no display - connected directly to dash. The cd player has jammed up and I can't get the cds out so thinking about replacing whole unit.

Can I get something that

a) connects to dash display
b) is multi cd
c) has MP3 capability
d) ain't that expensive.

Any suggestions very welcome please

Thanks

ATB

a) Doubt it
b ) You won't need it anymore, because of C and because you can play mp3 discs now (99% of the cds in my car have several albums on)
c) Most come with a headphone in socket these days, some even a usb port
d) Last time I checked you're looking upwards of £50

In fact here you go, that'll do everything you'll need and I've found Sony rather reliable

I would not bother with CD's these days, skip and jump around.

I got a Sony head unit with bluetooth, so get handsfree phone and music (quality is not great but that may be my recordings).

Suspect you will just have to live without the dash display, my head unit buttons forward and pause the music when on BT so I just leave the phone in my pocket.

I have ones of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-DEH-7300BT-Bluetooth-Stereo-Control/dp/B004GHNQ7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332068332&sr=8-1

and one of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Verbatim-43941-Netbook-16GB-Drive/dp/B004699TNU/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332068418&sr=1-4

Ok its £150 but in the grand scheme of stereo not bad, Ill never buy a blank cd again, nor have to change one. Ive got a really effective bluetooth handsfree on the cars main speakers and im pretty sure that the cable will be available for most makes of car for dash display/ stalk controls.

Ive just bought a JVC KD-X30, It has no cd.

New, Cheap, Basic and branded at £50. Again I can put loads on a tiny usb stick and wont end up leaving an ipod connected to it whilst out and about.
