Camera Options
Hi guys.
I am looking into camera options and would prefer to use one device as opposed to a seperate GPS etc. I am after the following features:
1) Robust design
2) Remote control
3) External mic that preferably disables the internal mic on being plugged in
4) A Built in LCD display so you can check it to make sure it's recording what you want rather than recording all day and then getting home to
check the footage and realising it wasn't pointed where you wanted it to be and also be able to view footage at the track.
5) GPS Info overlay
So far I have looked into the following:
1) Go Pro (Can't use the remote and LCD screen options at the same time, not sure about the GPS option)
2) AiM Smartycam (No remote option)
3) Contour Plus (No LCD screen)
4) Oregon ATC9K (No external mic input)
5) Elmo SUV (No GPS option)
Is there such a camera out there? Short of putting a Contour Plus and a Oregon ATC9K into a room together with some Barry White playing in the
background I don't know where else to look.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Dan.

Something like this;
Lamborghini VR2 - Video recording and telemetry system
Can't post link up from iPad! Find it on eBay and google the spec.
ETA: just seen the price! Loom for a DL1 data logger, which is similar and more cost effective!

Wasn't there an app for the iPhone that did all you wanted? Maybe barr recording audio from an external mic. If it holds true, you just had to
buy a cradle to hold the iPhone.
Check this hold(ish) thread: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=161817
