Quick Qu? Finding Car details from Reg

Morning all,

Anyone know of a "free" facility online where you can enter the registration plate details of a car and it will give you the car details, make model etc?

All the best

Alex

The EUROCAR PARTS website will give you make, model and engine size from the reg number.

Cheers

eurocarparts.com
enter the reg.no where it says 'your reg', and gives make and model.

You will need to know car reg and make.

If you dont know the make, but the car is insured you can use askmid.com to find out, however technically you should only use this to check your 'own' cars.

Just set up a new ad on ebay

That asks for reg, and gives you plenty of details. Then just cancel the new ad. Only takes 2 mins......

Not sure if it's more details than the earlier answers, but I've done it before and it seems useful.

Nothing to do with the original post, just a heads up about Eurocarparts.

Eurocarparts have a "budget" website called www.carparts4less.co.uk same parts, service etc. but around 30% cheaper.

The ECP main website has artificially inflated prices so they can periodically offer a 25% discount to people and people think they're getting a bargain, they're not

Just a heads-up

Any online insurance quotation system will give you car details off the reg. Confused is my favourite for potential quotes.

Although I don't know what happens with non-production cars...
