a number of questions, exhaust advice, welder wtd etc
1) ok, been looking at catalytic converters for my car, i've got a 2.5" exhaust system which i want to kind of shorten, it needs a
catalytic converter and a new silencer.
what should i be looking for to make sure my vauxhall engine on bike carbs has the best chance of getting through emissions? 200cpsi? i'm
guessing 100cpsi won't be up to it?
I know there's people who will say theres no chance of passing on bike carbs, but I'm along the thinking of anythings possible with
careful planning
been in contact with a supplier in america, prices are much better than here! but they can't advise on cell count as they don't have the
info...
how has everyone chosen their cats?
2) which size exhausts are poeple generally using? If i get one from america, i might get a few more over while i'm at it, not sure yet...
3) I need to mod my fuel tank, want a small sump put in the bottom, with the outlet moved from the side of the tank to the sump. tank has been used,
and has had petrol in, and i can't weld aluminium. hopefully in a few weeks time, i'll be passing down the M8, M74, and M6 and whatever
else is on the way to colchester moving some stuff for a friend, is there anyone on the way down who might be able to do a bit of fabrication and add
a sump and outlet? i'd be driving down on a saturday, and back up on the sunday, so can drop off and pick up then, but obviously, the further
south you live, the less time you'd have to do it you'd have plenty of notice though!
any takers? lol

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

This is rather worrying, and may explain the cheaper price.
And have you added shipping (horrendous from the USA) plus duty and fees?
I also suspect that the cat will have a very short life with carbs, and that is after you have had them set up very carefully on the rollers. Maybe
have a sacrificial cat (ie from some production car) that is used for tests and replace with a "better" alternative the rest of the
year.
Of course really you need FI, but you know that!
