Daihatsu Cuore / Mira Avanzato TR-XX Turbo kei 4WD | eBay

Like a little turbocharged rollerskate and rare as hens teeth especially in white.

In a similar vein, we bought a Mitsubishi I-car (another kei car).

Rear engine, 700cc turbo, nippy enough when there's only one in, and because the engine is at the back there's nothing to prevent a really tight turning circle, which it has.

It can turn 180 degrees on most roads without needing a second tack. It's a hoot to drive - 4spd auto.

I think Kei cars are a great idea (rather than some of the disturbing concepts that come out of Japan). It made me rethink my car buying approach and helped me feel less of a hankering for large powerful saloons. For driving around town it's brilliant, and dead easy to park.

it's the first car when taking a test drive that the missus and I both agreed on, and the only car we've test-driven where we've giggled.

So we're all agreed then, small cars with fizzy engines are a good thing
