New rules for modified / updated cars, does the mean

that fitting a rear subframe to live axle car would be within the rules (car nearly 50yo).

The potential "danger" is that it is a bit arbitary. The whole "let DVLA" know thing means they could potentially say nope, and then you are stuffed.
On the other hand, it seems so far they are not doing that. I do wonder if it is because they don't have decent staff to decide what is and is not OK, so instead just wave it all through. I guess time will tell.
At least with the 8 point rule we all knew exactly what we were allowed to do. Which begs the next question, are the new rules retrospective? Nobody seems to know.
