I’ve just bought an MK Indy chassis which is about 1/3 built and need to transport it from Inkberrow near Worcester to Warwick which is about 20 miles.

Is there anyone in the area who has a trailer or car transporter that could either loan me it or transport it for me. Obviously I’ll cover your costs and time.

I'd offer you the use of my sankey trailer but a) I'm not local
b) you'd need a nato tow hitch
c) will need good securing as it is 6 x 4

You realsie you can fit the chassis inside a luton or maybe even in a transit?

Even a decent roofrack will do the job, thats how i got mine home, 100 miles plus, with no problems.

It's a rolling chassis and measures 1.6Mx3M. Think the roof rack is out

Looks like it will fit in a SWB transit, load area is supposed to be 1.8M x 3.2M. I'll try ringing round some Hire co's

Have got a van for 1/2 a day. Spoke to guy at hire shop and he said it will fit.

If its a rolling chassis, take some ramps and bits of wood - i took my rolling chassis inside the back of an LDV long wheeelbase thingy, i had to make some ramps to get it over the double arches, but it sat just nicely, the back wheels just before the rear arches (Going in frontwards) meant it couldnt move when the rear doors where shut.

With the arches on it was too big and so we used a luton.
