I have been using the winter weeks so far to fashion ARB's for the J15. I have no idea if this is the answer to my handling issues but I feel it
is a good place to start.

I have above average facilities for the fabrication of parts like those in the blog but I am sure places like Playskool may be able supply some or
most of the parts. The rear is more difficult in terms of fabrication than the front.

The handling is in their somewhere, the J15 chassis that use to race in the 750mc sports series, might be a good starting point to find out what it
did have didnt have cos it had some good finishs.
I believe the previous owner sold it to someone on here ?

All the J15 chassis that I have seen that were competitive have ARB's. I think your comment is spot on only I don't know them personally. I am going to try this route for a while.
Surely as you have inboard suspension it would be advantageous to use a short, light ARB working directly on the rockers/dampers.
I recall seeing some pics here about a year ago showing a very neat installation.

Thats exactly what I was pondering with the front.....looks like a really neat solution.
Had a look at the design challenge for the suggested mini ARB. Although a great idea, wish I had thought of it, I think it would have to be
implemented at the initial build stage. My cooling pipes are in the way on one side of the springs and the steering rack on the other. I look forward
to someone proving me wrong.
I took the J15 for a short test drive with the ARB's fitted. The roads around here are crud infested just now they never get a chance to dry out.
I have decided to do a test day at Kames sprint track on Sunday in an attempt to find out what sort of beast I have now.

Totally different car, the handling going into the corners/hairpins has been totally transformed for the better. I need a dry day with some warmer
temperature to compare my lap times. The temperature today was 8deg at best.
Looking good, and reassuring to know it makes a difference, car looks nice and flat going through the corners.

I think we have 10 tracks in Scotland and that per head of population I guess it is very good news. We only have one race cct (Knockhill) but we have a number of Kart type tracks that can be used for Sprints and a number of Hillclimb or dedicated Sprint tracks. In the summer there is an event every couple of weeks if you include test days. The key is to get your MSA licence and you can pretty well fill your diary.
