Focus headgasket in Escort Zetec

Is it possible to use a Focus 1.8 metall-headgasket in a '93 Zetec 1.8. The Escort uses a paperbased headgasket.
The Focus part should be superior.
Due to a headgasketfaillure the head has got to come of and i'd like to use the best option.
