how is (now) "GTS Tuning" on deliveries?
in the past some people complaint about missing parts or misunderstandings and lack of comunication by Darren, like no respond to telephones or email to solve the problems.

in sales abroad it is worse because we are very far away.
I'm needing some material and would like to know from recent buys if the deliveries are now correct and in few days.

many thanks

Seriously though, does anyone actually know if he is still trading and if so has he got his act together?

I always did think his products were good.....

interesting, i've not heard anything bad about him for a while... now have i had any of those promo emails from him. i'll never understand why he started sending me them, after he tried screwing me over lol

That's always been the concern of mine Mark - quality of products we have had from GTS has been exemplery but the number of buyers having problems far outweighs the positives I'm sorry to say...

I wish him well if he is still involved with GTS... you picked a great place to ask

I would'nt normally comment as the one (MK upper wishbones) purchase I made from GTS was fine.
But I'm bored seeing the inevitable questions and critics and the predictable defenders of the crown.
That there is much debate, should be enough to steer wise men in such a competitive arena?

The stuff I had from him albeit a long time ago was good quality ( I think it was Triton's kit )although it took 2 months to arrive and communication was crap, no doubt there are those who have been more than happy with his service.
With this being a fairly open forum there are people who voice an opinion who have never dealt with the guy, this to me is unfair and unjustified and at the the end of the day could ruin his business (if not already)and cost him his home and more beside.
If I was thinking of buying kit from anyone that was to cost me a a substantial sum of money the first thing I would do would be to call them and speak to them, If they didnt answer the call or didnt ring me back then caveat emptor.
Cheers,
Bob

i got some top camber adjustable wishbones from him back end of last year three days order to delivery even got an up date email to tell me when they were ordered. i mentioned at the time the concern shown of some forums not mentioning anynames and he said things had changed. in my experience this was true and the bones were lovely quality as well. i would buy from him again.

xico_ze54, what exactly are you looking to buy from them? The reason I ask is that Rally Design ( http://www.rallydesign.co.uk ) stock some GTS components. It may be woth seeing if they have what you want?

xico_ze54 - 24/3/09 at 09:58 AM

actually I bought in the past material to GTS Tuning, Rally Design, SVC, etc and have no complains about delivery in here (Portugal), but other compatriots of mine had not the same luck with GTS T. althought the other companies act very normally: we order, we pay, they send in a decent short period of time.

noadays I'm projecting other stuff and I know the web adresses of plenty of british companies and their prices.

but one thing is absolut true: GTS T. has very good prices, the problem is if the material arrive in time, the order is completed, and the last but not the least is if there is some problem there is not a prompt answer to an email or phone call.

add to this the phisical distance of thounsends of km and understand my concernings.

I could understand Darren George ran a business that he have not phisical capacities to make it smoth, but one think intrigues me: despity all bad coments about his business, his web site doesn't stop to add more items. it's strange!

regards

I think if you look through the latest Rally Design catalogue you'll find most of Darren's kit for sale via them. I've used Rally Design several times and found them to be A1 on service - I'm sure they don't take any monkey business from Darren as a supplier so you might be better to order from them if they have the stuff you want.

I dont know about deliveries any more, but he answered all my emails yesterday within a couple of hours.

Apparently very busy finishing the GTs40 replica at the moment.

I agree Rally Design do all of Darren’s bits and they arrive the next day rather than never (I have experienced both parties). I think Darren just needs a kick up the arse every so often and the lads at Rally Design seem to do a very good job at kicking it!

I was reading something on the GT40 forum that someone posted up the other day. I think it was from Tornado cars or Gardner Douglas and they were saying that they were having a new chassis designed by an ex F1 employee that people probably wouldn't have heard of. I wonder if this is Darren? I understood that he used to design suspension or something like that but I did hear, like Flak mentioned that he was involved in a GT40 kit. Could account for his general unavailability.

back to GTS T. prices...

where can I buy a set of 4 Protech Shock dampers for Locost for £330?
