£ 17 K for an MK Indy R1

Nothing about spec. - such as will it be new reg, Q reg or have reverse box (must have for IVA.)

Wonder why they want d.o.b?

Think Fast Though Only 35 Available!

All three of those are owned by the same group of people though, aren't they Dave?

Reminds me of someone else...

Hmmm.......

Zero Feedback
Asking for you DoB
Name and address, with Postcode.
They have a Hotmail EmailAddress

You can reply to them, but I would steer well clear of it.

Sounds a bit suspect to me.

"The Indy ‘R’ Comes With a Bike Engine (Mostly R1)"

Mostly R1 then... so some of it's a different bike engine then?

I wouldn't buy anything from someone with such bad grammar on principle! Let alone whether it was a scam or not!

Cheers,
James

Is it right me thinking that what they do is

Buy the kit from Mk and have a couple of mechanics assemble it and charge 60 quid per hour for it?

Kit + parts nearly £10K and about 120 hours build time @£60p/h = £7200

Total £17200 ?

mookaloid - 3/6/09 at 08:40 AM

If it is someone on here, please can you own up to this and tell us why you ask for lots of personal details and date of birth in an advert?

Triton - 3/6/09 at 08:42 AM

Tad expensive.......

mistergrumpy - 3/6/09 at 08:45 AM

Is the DOB thing so that they can provide you an insurance price do you think?

Fozzie - 3/6/09 at 08:46 AM

Doesn't the 'Indy' name belong to MK though?

For that money, you could buy a decent/tidy VXT220......0-60 in 4.7, plus it has a removable roof and doors ......

IMHO the Ebay sellers are being a tad over optimistic..
Got to agree with James, re the grammar though...if they are asking that sort of money, they should have at least asked someone to 'proof-read' the advert before posting it.....

Fozzie

How could they do that when they would have no idea what, if any, driving convictions/penalties you may have incurred?

No, so they can send you a birthday card and present every year which is the least I would expect at that sort of price.

02GF74 - 3/6/09 at 10:11 AM

.... just for comparison, how much are caterhams?
