Does any one know of a courier who will transport a car battery ?
I've had a quote of £42 from Shipley.com which is quite frankly rediculous !
Put it in an unmarked box and dont tell the couriers?
depends if the courier knows what it is...
parcel2go is probably a LOT cheaper, but won't send batteries i'd imagine

It's a gel battery ( optima red top ) which can be mounted sideways apparently.
Tried Royal Mail - won't do it.
Somebody must transport these things.
Not tried to courier a battery before, but I tend to use www.p4d.co.uk
Is it one you have purchased and want delivering to you or one you sold you want to deliver ?
I can probably help either way.
Give interparcel a go

Being a gel battery, it won't care whether it's upside down, shaken around, or whatever. I'd be tempted just to pack it up well with
plenty of bubble wrap, then just tell the courier it's a brick.

When they send a battery some of online battery sellers provide a couple of loops of rope protruding from the wrapping as a handle --- that way the courier will always put it down the right way up.
