TGR-ECOSSE - 9/5/07 at 06:00 AM

While looking for info on Jim Clark i noticed that Colin Chapman was born on this day May 9th 1928. I hope everybody reading this knows who he is. Linky to Colin Chapman

Also i was in Northumberland for the weekend and went to the Jim Clark room in Duns. When i told people at work almost all of them had never heard of him Is it just my work or do a lot of people not know what a racing legend he is. Linky to Jim Clark

I live about 200 yards from the old Lotus works in Hornsey, north London. A group of us are trying to set up a Chapman museum on the original site. See www.colinchapmanmuseum.org.uk

Jim Clark was born not far from me up the A92 at Kilmany House Farm, Fife. His statue is at Fodleash not far from the Junction with the A92.
I have often used this spot to stop and eat lunch and think about my car.
Not visited Duns yet however I will when we get the seven done.
We could do a breakfast run for sevens doing all the motoring museums and land marks.

Colin Chapman was English and designed a car called the lotus 7!!!!

Jim Clark was Scottish and was a driving genius. He was the first British person to win the indy 500!!

Did you notice that he just became British and not Scottish
