Mad dogs and Englishmen ......
Jasper - 12/8/03 at 09:36 AM

I spent two hours yesterday lunchtime with a bevel brush on the angle grinder cleaning off an old axle and removing the half shalfs in full sun.

Lost half my body weight in fluid and had to go and lie down for an hour!

You're brave (or mad!)

I've been avoiding my garage for the last week or so - the roof catches the full sun for most of the day, and in the afternoon it shines straight into the front door.

'king 'ot!

The only way I could do it was to go there at 08:00 Sunday morning to get a couple of hours in before it got too unbearable.

cheers,

David

I was in the garage (out of the sun) Sunday welding the floor in.
Being hot I had my shirt off most of the time.
Big mistake as I now have sunburn from the welder!
Apart from where I have horizontal 'tiger' stripes on my stomach (from being bent over- (as it were!)) which is quite amusing I also have an interesting outline from my welding mask around my neck/shoulders!

I knew this *could* happen but I didn't realise so quickly.

Be warned!

James

Unfortunately my Swarzeneggar-like body would make you all too jealous (or wet) so I'd better not!

Cheers,

James
