whats the rattle noise i get when maintainging a steady speed above about 50? if i accelerate or slowdown slightly (even a tiny bit) it goes away
i know its the prop but down know which part / cause.

Could be center bearing, could be touching something.
Could be loose prop adapter
Whatever it is you need to find out

have you checked all the bolts on the prop to make sure they are all tight etc? it might be the prop vibrating at its resonant frequency at 50, only
it can make a rattling sound becuase one of the bolts is loose?

i know its not the prop adaptor.........that come off last friday and went back together yesterday and its on bloody tight with about a gallon of
threadlock.
i was thinking bearing or centre mount, its deffo not toughing anything. what about being out of ballance?

i would just whip the tunnel out and get your beady eyes in there asap, make sure that all the bolts are tightened up. check the couplings too

My mate's used to make a noise a bit like that. It was the centre bearing's dust seal that had come loose. So essentially there was a
metal ring jingling round the prop like a hula-hoop. Dunno why yours would go quiet on accel or decel though if that's what it is?
