Having a bad day.....

If anyone is looking at buying anything from an internet trader called 'aktive tools / aktive trading' then DONT - I ordered a Sealey mig welder that's never turned up. Seller won't communicate so I rang Sealey to see if their account is good to be told that they (Sealey) found out today!? that aktive have gone bust!

How did you pay? Credit cards seem to offer some security against this

Paid by card, but i'll still have to shell out again for another m/c while talking to card co. for refund. Build is going nowhere fast at the moment.

Thats not a bad day. I haven't been paid for 6 weeks by work, I found this out after I got a letter from the bank telling me I was in an overdraft and would be charged £150 for the pleasure! Then I caught got speeding on my way to work so got 3 points and a £60 fine, THAT is a bad day! Hope you get your money back though...

You should go back on the web site and order something small but over £10. If they accept the order and take your money they are trading illegally, inform the police and they are obliged to take action against them.
It won't help you get your money back but it will give you a warm glow

If you don't mind me asking, how do you normally get paid, cheque or electronic transfer?
