lift pump was running full whack all the time as it was just free flowing back to tank from swirl pot, this in turn was causing it to overheat (bike pump on points) and then cut out/act up. Its 10mm all round so very free flowing, now Ive put some resistance in the return line its much better doesn't over heat or trip.

I had a similar problem , my red top pump was hammering away all the while, I put a .6mm MIG nozzle in the return from the swirl pot even now it still ticks away like mad.

On my way back from a blat my foot flicked the clutch pedal which made the nipple at the other end pop out the arm. So back in the garage I spotted a spring which my soldering iron usually sat in and put that between the clutch arm and the bell housing. Stopped the arm rattling and retained the clutch cable.

Brake light was staying on in me Astra, Vauxhall wanted nearly £200 to replace the switch... I sprayed some WD40 on it and it stopped sticking.
