Engine swap
Hi. Looking for some advice on an engine swap. I have searched through the forums on what I need to do but just wanted to here from someone that had
already done it.
I can get a letter from the garage that did the work but what details does it need to include?
CC of new engine?
Engine number?
Date of conversion?
Anything else, the car is a 2007 and went through SVA.
Thanks

I think that is all you need. It will need to be on the garage's headed paper.

What exactly you doing? Swapping the engine post sva is as easy as putting the new engine number and cc on the v5.
Or, you looking for what parts are required?

The DVLA will want some form of 'evidence' of the swap.
They ask for this to be from the garage doing the work, but no reason not to write it yourself on your own headed paper.

Ok, just last year with my fingers crossed in goes the v5 for my jeep swapping the engine size from a 1297 cross flow to a 3.9 rover v8.
Only thing I sent with the v5 was a photo of the engine number on the 3.9 and it came back no problem, they even sent the picture back!

They are more interested when it changes the tax bracket in your favour and not the chancellors
