Camber Compensation

Who has looked at the dax camber compensation and tried to copy it or even made their own design?
After looking at this months PPC there is a small write up about it. I think it's do able !and would like to try it, But I think I'll give it a miss just now and try and get it actually on the road first

Am I missing something, or is that why we have different length wishbones?
Th eDax system looks overly complicated for not much gain.

I always think the various camber compensation suspension that have been devised over the years are too complicated to be practical.

i remember when this was last discussed, there was an online artice about the system, which had diagrams of all situations except one wheel bump. All the pics looked very good, but one wheel bump was missed out because it didnt work well - it led to unnecessary camber change on the other wheel.

I looked at the system and designed my own camber compensation. It might appear on one of my cars in the near future

To be fair the Dax system is not overly complex, but I have to wonder if any improvement that would be gained is worth the complexity on a car that aleady handles very well.

I looked at it and couldn't see how it worked and the springing was too stiff for my liking so I stuck my head back in the sand and pretended it didn't exist. Apparently it has to be deadly accurately manufactured or it's a waste of time.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Confused but excited.

What I found interesting, was that the explanatory diagrams did not match the photographs. The pivot points were different.

I asked andy sterling if he thought there was any benefit over standard on his dax in the 750mc kits. Idont think he would use it again.
