Plastic Sheet and Press Studs

Basically, im making a cover for a car trailer.

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy the same sort of plastic sheeting as used in tarpaulins from anywhere, maybe in a more attractive colour? I know tarpaulins aren't expensive (£20 for an 11m x 7m one), but surely it can be had cheaper than that.

Also, fitting press studs to steel, I guess its possible, but are there any special tools/press studs needed?

I'm a bit of a novice at this sort of thing
