Propane Gas Bottle

Does anyone khow where in south essex/east london ( im near lakeside ) i can get/buy a bottle of proapne for my new space heater.

Its the orange bottle so im told, most garages near me only stock butane, patio heater gas ( blue or white or green bottles )

any caravan places near you? they tend to stock some sizes

Their web site will give a list of stockists.

My local stockist swapped an empty butane (super ser) for a propane at no extra cost,
so if you have the wrong cylinder, no prob, otherwise I think its £15 deposit for the first one.

Suppliers down here will let you swap any size and type of cylinder

I think you can use Butane. Its not as hot when burnt, but cheaper. Itll work fine, provided the regulator fits.

On some cylinders, it's a different thread direction! They use a reverse thread to prevent the wrong regulator being used.

Also, some suppliers fill propane and butane cylinders to different pressures, so maybe that's why they put opposite threads on them.
