simple cad programe wanted

guys im afer a simple to use preferable free to download programe that will allow me to draw 3d objects, Its primarily for drawing up and designing garden planters.

I have heard google sketchup being mentioned before, does anyone have any alternatives or experience in sketchup and can comment on its limits or its drawbacks?

google sketchup will probably be your best bet.

prodesktop is basic but very restrictive, if you want something better your in the relms of autocad or solidworks. ive heard there is cracked copys, but i got an original so never looked.

Yeah for 3d sketchup wins hands down.

I use autocad for 2d architectural work, but still use sketchup to produce 3d mockups to see if things work (stairs, roofs etc etc)

Sketchup is great. I've done several models. One model was of my daughters attic bedroom when I rebuilt it. I know where all the joists and plasterboard joins are
