vibration

Help I have a vibration on my 2.2 Diesel Saab 9-3 (W reg) between 40 and 50 when accelerating. It is not there when at a constant speed and is present in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th gear. The vibration is felt via the chassis rather than the steering and appears to be proportional to how hard i am accelerating.

to date I have:
1. balenced the wheels
2. swoped front and rear wheels
3 checked the wheel bearings (both good)
4. replaced half shafts as some signs of wear on the inner cv joint
5. replaced the gearbox with a 2nd had unit, as Saabs have known problem of wear in the diff bearings causing vibration.

So far nothing has curred the problem. I am starting to think that it may be engine mounts but basically I am stumped

Any suggestions!

sounds like an engine mountain

Mondeo diesels have an issue with an intercooler pipe bracket. The original bracket has rubber mounts which degrade over time causing the pipe to vibrate against the front cross member when under load at under 2000 rpm.

The fix is a new bracket or a piece of pipe insulation stuffed in the gap...

Could it be something similar?

I have to agree with Conrod, the engine mounts'd be the next thing I'd check.
