Optimum Balance Products - PRODUCTS NOT IN STOCK
nib1980 - 21/7/09 at 10:42 AM

Hi all,

I don't like to do this but i feel i have no choice and i want to warn others

I ordered a pedal box setup from them 3 weeks ago.

the product turned up in a fair time, (Approx 1 week) but was missing the 3 x remote resouviors (spelling).

I duely contacted them and was told there out of stock but will be sent on.

2 weeks after the delivery i have now been told the missing res's will be another 2 weeks at least.!

RANT

Why advertise products in stock when there not?

My car is now off the road for the forseeable future

BEWARE, if you order from Optimum Balance Products a pedal box. Don't expect to get the remote resovoir within the next 2 weeks at least.

again I'm sorry, but the man has had my money for 3 weeks and I have an incomplete product.

sorry for the rant people

Manual BMW's have a nice little remote reservoir.

OK,

I've had another reply, apparently there are issues with there supplier.

I understand this and I do, I'm in the trade too.

I'm just frustrated, as I'm sure OBP are.

Starting to calm dowm

IN OBP defense,

They have been open, Honest, fast in response, helpful and fair.

I Just don't have my product.

Just do what I do and phone them up to check or send them a quick e-mail, I’ve been caught out too many times in the past to just assume

They must be too busy promoting their latest special offers to concentrate on stock replenishing.

Incidently what kind of offer did you get, 5% 10% 15% 20% 25%

i hope it's one the higher numbers as i'm sure where getting ever closer to their "summer sale" and that's probably 20% off

Don't worry if you miss it though, i'm sure they'll extend it 3 or so times

I wonder if they're any connection to Dfs

Hi

Why not just go direct to there supplier. BRAKE COMP and then get a refund. Make sure that the pedal box you have brought will actualy work first though. Most of the rubbish they sell has pedal ratios that are way out and the brake bias collides with the clutch pivot when set correctly on some models. Also see if you need to place a 1"- 2" packer under your feet to be able to operate the pedals whith your feet correctly.

Cheers Matt
