I am getting extremely bored while I wait for new rear arches, so I have started a new project.
It could well help the Roadster or it may be a complete disaster, who knows!
I picked this up yesterday for £10 donation, took the wooden floor or what was left to the tip and spent today with wire brush, welder and Hammerite
paint on the chassis.
I will have to order some steel but hope to have a Roadster transporter of my own very soon.
The bed is 2.8 m long and 1.63 m wide, I do need a bit more length and could do with it being 1.8 wide so will have to run over wheels.
But it gives me something to do!
What do people recommend for the rails to run the car along, 25 x 25 x 3 mm angle or slightly bigger at 30 x 30 x 3
and at what spacing, what is the typical spacing on a car ramp?

good work for a tenner!
Looking at the way the axles are mounted, you should be able to unbolt them and move them out to the distance that you need, and then just bolt them back on again. HTH Ray
Sounds a bit narrow. Can you widen it? Im sure my car was 1800mm wide, maybe a tad more.
