Looking for some help here guys....
Just had my Pug 306 HDi serviced by the local Pug dealer. When I picked the car up the recepcionist told me that the main rear oil seal was leaking
and the (i quote) "hockey Sticks were worn".
What the fu*k is she talking about???
I couldn't speak to the technician as it was after 6pm when I picked the car up.
If any one has any idea on what hockey sticks might be could they please enlighten me.
Cheers
Nick
Well think about things that wear out... Discs, Pads, Bushes, etc........
Cant think tbh, if no-one knows by tomorrow, i'll ask when i go in tomorrow.
I know the ryhming slang for pads.. so it's not them..........
funnily enough, ive had my mot today by me local pug dealer, 306 1.9 xld. cant remember ever coming across any hockey sticks in the car though. i wish
i could afford to have it serviced every week cos the receptionist is well fit!
Two possiible ideas:-
1 - Component of a front bumper/splitter. Comes down wheel arch and bends round lower front part of the bumper/splitter. Shaped like a hockey stick.
Found on Escort Cossy.
2 - Part of the suspension. I think it is a bush if some kind and has something to do with the trailing arms.
Hope this helps
James
would the receptionist look good with hockey stick and short skirt.....

Hows about just the stick

TOTALLY BAFFLED!!
We are Peugeot approved for bodywork, if I phone up the parts dept and ask for a hockey stick for a 306, they will send me the painted trim below the
headlamp (look at the shape)

I believe the hockey sticks are inside the gearbox - part of the selection mechanism. At least that's what "hockey sticks" were on the
VW beetle.
BTW Nick - do you fancy coming over for a look at / ride in the Indy sometime?
Cheers for the ideas guys, gearbox and suspension components sound the most likely. I will phone the dealer today and try and speak to the
technician.
Matt - Definitely up for a look at/ride in the Indy. I've emailed you to see when you're around.
Cheers
Nick
hockey sticks are gaskets shaped as hockey sticks that are near the main bearings just before the fly wheel..
