One thing that winds me up more is a crap product.
The design on the Barcelona models is so substandard a 5 year old with ms paint could do better. Flange leaks are common
Must have been designed
by the same mob that did the Kettle series engine for rover
Why do they not stick to the rules for engineering a good product.
Under speced O rings on ali flanges they know are going to corrode ever so slightly.....and then charge 150 quid for the spare bits.
Its not a race car its just a unit that has to be functional....ggggggrrrrrr
We have offically renamed the Baxi Barcelona the Antartica as it fits the product better.
And If you work for baxi...potterton please pass on the word........Your Product is CR*P.
Should have gone Vokera.......
Hope google archives this for ever

have you noticed they always break down in winter or on sundays or holidays when no heating engineers are available.
Interesting!! Just getting a new boiler at the moment. We've got a Biasi which have a bad rap but only got wrong once in 5 years...... Was thinking Glowworm... but maybe now I'll look at the Vortex jobbies...

Cant go wrong with either Worcester or Vaillant. Vokera are also up there. Wouldnt touch anything else to be honest.
Yep, Baxis are pretty useless on reliability. I've had one in for 3 years and it has broken down once every year - avoid.
Just had a Vaillant fitted a couple of months back, our installer point blank refused to fit Baxi's due to their atrocious reliability.
A locostbuilders search will show quite a few 'Avoid Baxi's they're cr*p' threads.
What are Borag Rehmea like?
(i've just ordered one.......)

whats this? Locostboilers.co.uk?
Many pros will only entertain Worcester Bosch or Vaillant. Vokera was also met with less than enthusiasm during my research. Went for a Vaillant in the end which so far is great.
Had a Baxi in for 3 years, never was right since the first install, finally got Baxi back to sort it out - SIX visits over a 2 month period, finally got them to put in a brand new one - I'd NEVER buy Baxi again, total crap.... next time German - Bosch!!
