Im presently sitting at home with a sore right foot instead of being at work, due to something stupid I did yesterday.
I was in Leicester trying to find a street and decided to pull over and turn on my sat nav as I was lost down a back street. Turned off engine fitted
sat nav to the aero screen and tried to start the car but the starter wouldn't turn it over.I had had this at odd times, usually when the engine
is hot but it normally goes after a few attempts but this time it didn't want to.
As the road was slightly down hill I decided to bump start it on the first go I manged to jump in but it wasn't going fast enough to start so
tried again and on the next try got my left leg in but somehow managed to trap my right foot either under the chassis or the wheel momentarily.I heard
a crack and then pulled it free and into the car and got the engine started but was in a lot of pain from my foot,drove to where I was going and
managed to drive home with a struggle .
I resisted going to casualty to start with but eventually had to give in and pay them a visit as it was getting too painful to even stand let alone
walk on it.
After a long wait as per normal I was told that I have damaged the ligaments in my foot but luckily don't seem to have broken anything.
So if you need to bump start your car don't be tempted to do it alone , try and get a push off some one.

ouch!!! That's painful....
I don't think I'd ever try to bumpstart my Locost, I can only get in and out by removing / re-attaching the steering wheel and we all know
what happens to a moving car with no steering.... 
Also I heard a rumour that BECs don't like bumpstarting anyway. Can't remember what the reasoning is, perhaps due to the lightweight
transmission....
painfull it yes yes, certainly if you can't stop the car anymore.
Got my foot trapped a few times already just by moving the car around, not going fast so not so bad
The sticking out wheels are easily missed by eye
Luckily you got in, what would've happened if you had to drop out and had to let the car go

ouch I cringed when reading the "crack" bit.
anyways, could have been worse.
make sure you rest it, weather is gonna be nice, unless you're up north so good time to get a few days off work ... you're not self employed

Thanks for the good wishes , Im taking ibuprofen and seems to help , trouble is the weather may be good but I cant walk anywhere so am stuck in front
of the PC.

I have to wear converse boots when I drive (otherwise can't get my size 14 plates of meat in the footwells) and when I'm pushing the car into the garage I frequently find out what having a car running over your toes feels like....
ibrupofen is good - anti-inflammatory bit helps.
not getting about, you have no excuse, a welder, some bits of steel and off you go!
I've rolled the back wheel over my foot a couple of times, as I push it in or out of my garage.
It's one of those things where it'll be off your foot quicker if you keep pushing - but your brain doesn't think that way when your
foot's complaining!
I hope this doesn't apply in your case mate but breaking it could have been better.
I knackered the ligaments in my right ankle, standing on a rotten log. Medics said it would have been better to have broken it and taken the strain
off the ligaments. I was on crutches for sixteen weeks (It only takes thirteen for a brake to mend fully). Further problems, mainly weakness, for
another three years.
So we will all keep our fingers crossed for you mate.

I know someone that did exactly the same who worked for DuPont when i worked there.
Ive run my toes over a few times, and even found myself unable to move because there is a car on the end of my shoe!!
Hope you get better. Its one of those unfortunate accidents that are inevitable, given the toys that we are playing with.

Had to goggle that, luckily it wasn't that bad in fact after sitting in front of the PC all day and taking ibuprofen it is actually a lot better
and think I will have to go to work tomorrow if it doesn't seize up again over night like it had this morning.

Im back to normal now after a couple of days with a sore foot, im glad to hear im not the only one silly enough to have done this.

I did this too, and cracked my rear wheel arch - leg survived but foot bloody sore!
