Hello,
Anyone know any good deals available on the concept 2 rowing machines, or a nearly one with low mileage

Cheers
David

even fitted to a mini your not going to get more than 5mph out it

Are you mad? You actually want to own one of these evil b@st@rd things?

I have very short legs so the C2 kills me.

They are universally expensive, even old ones go for a lot, but they do last forever... If you're just after a rowing machine, rather than wanting to compete against other people, try some of the others. In the end I got a water rower for not that much on Ebay and am very pleased with it.

I bought mine in the states when the dollar was 2.1 to the pound

Cost about £400 equivalent

you'll be lucky! I was looking for one a couple of years ago.... either pay a couple of hundred quid less for one a few years old or buy new.

I ended up buying a new one.

You won't get one cheap - bought my second hand one off Ebay for about £600 - sold it 1 year later for about £550, they hold their value really well.....wish I still had it now though

Thanks everyone, took the advice and bought a new one.

Mr Whippy 5 mph is way faster than my mini has been in long long time!

Same one i've got here

saves lots of time traveling to the gym and back etc. Nothing like rowing in your Y-fronts to scare the the people next door

whats your plan/target? 2k 5k 10k half/full marathon or just weight loss? I've not used mine for about 7 months and i'm 4 weeks into my new training regime. My body aches!

C2 rowers are expensive, but in the "home" environment, they should outlast the owner I've had one for about 3 years now, currently putting between k and 15k a day on it, depending on what I'm working towards.

I find it incredibly addictive, and I struggle to not try and beat personal bests whenever I get on the thing! Current records for 2k is 6m57s, 5k is 18m28s, 10k is 38m20s, and a half marathon is 1h25m19s Not bad considering I find it difficult to walk up the stairs because of asthma some days!

I bought mine brand new, and the only reason I did that was because they hold their value big time. I think it is because they have achevied the "industry standard" recognition...

Maybe it would be an idea to have a Locostbuilders internet Race?!
