its going to be a cracker tomorrow, i reckon that button will run a long first stint and justfill his tank to try and make some time up on the others, lets just hope the brawn mechanics can set the balance of his car correctly!

I dont think he can. I think the penalty doesnt allow them to be classed as 12th or whatever so the only way he could do that is if he started from the pit lane.

It was a smashing qualifying

Mark Allanson - 3/10/09 at 05:12 PM

They are just levelling everybody up so the championship goes to the last race again

are you bernie eccelstone in the disguise of Mark Allanson?

The penaties are a bit harsh --- faint aroma of FIA meddling to make the championship run to the wire.

On other fronts ---
In the next few days rumour has that Max is going to go for another major figure in F1 with allegations of illegal rev limit fiddling.

However Max has landed himself and the Jean Todt FIA presidential campaign in the myre, it looks like the Arab votes with form a substantial block of votes in the FIA senate may go against the Moseley-Todt rock crusher. All of a sudden Ari Vatanen looks like he is a viable candidate again,

In meeting with the press Max is also reported to have made childish nasty references to Jackie Stewart again.

Todt I am reminded in 2002 reportedly proclaimed Alonso would never drive for Ferrari ! :-) rotf

Massa has reportedly consulted a lawyer to get the results of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix canceled so giving Massa the championship ---- I am sure that will do wonders for his relations with his new teammate.

I don't think the penalties harsh.
When I was racing in the post-historic classic saloon cars, drivers who overtook/speeded under yellows in quali , where demoted to the back of the grid.

They got off light!

Mark Allanson - 3/10/09 at 06:13 PM

I don't know why everyone takes it so seriously, it is so managed its a laugh.

I still watch it every race though

DarrenW - 3/10/09 at 08:29 PM

coverage starts at 5am, race starts at 6am

I think the penalty was a bit tough. They weren't allowed to improve on their previous times. Seeing as they hadn't been able to set any previous times due to various people doing crash bandicoot impressions they didn't better their previous times simples.....
