my brother is an avid snomobiler and a member of search and rescue.

this sort of thing usually results in the beginning of funeral preperations.

it is amazing on several accounts.

1. he didn't break bones. the forces involved in an avalanch will break trees off at their roots.
2. they found him in such a short time. it is amazing they found him in less than an hour. let alone less than 5 minutes.
3. no electronic locator, or "peep" search and rescue can spend days trying to locate someone lost in an avalanch even with many witnesses.

Thats quite an infamous video.... They all had transevers and avilungs and knew how to use them...

He is a silly fool for not digging a test pit at the top of the snow pack to check for consistency...
