Personally, I love the styling, but most of the figures seem pretty weak (apart from the price!).

bit boring looking, for the same money I'm sure you could buy something much more interesting
love them

Anyone driven one?
I think it was my suggestion in the first place...
If I was looking for a car to drive to work and be relaxing but yet sporty AND I was changing the Alpina B10 I'd be buying
this.
If I wanted something to use occassionally I'd buy a Maserati Ghibli.
If I wanted to just go fast (you need Auto right?), I'd probably go Jap.

I love the 8 series. Went and had a look at a few, even test drove an 840ci, but never ended up getting one - bought a 528 and eventually a house (or
deposit thereof) instead!
Love the sewwping interior, very plush and stylish, even by today's standards. Having said that, the stereo and button layout is starting to
show a bit of age now. Not a big fan of the old multi-spoke wheels, but the Alpina's really suit it. Having done research, the 840 was the best
one to go for, as the 850 was a nightmare; regularly going wrong, incredibly expensive to fix because of the complexity of the engine, and generally
the one to avoid.
I'd still have one today given the chance, but do feel they're still a tad overpriced.
Mate has a 840ci very nice and great to drive ive only been a few miles in one but i realy liked it

+1
I remember the first time i saw one, it was in the early 90s catching me up on the M18. At fist glance in the mirror i thought it was a Ferrari.
The first one I saw had an Alpina badge on the back and no number designation... I thought it was a chopped and stretched M3!
I used to work for a BMW main dealer back in the mid 90's & drove quite a few 8 series.
850csi is the one to have
5.6L 375bhp, but horrendous parts prices when things go wrong.
I much prefer the e24 6 series, I've had three of them, two 635csi's and an M635csi. IMO a much better car.
beautiful and classic. I'll have one one day!
I love the styling, even if it was dated bfore ti was launched!
Theres a review in PPC this month
Not so convinced about the mechanicals, sense wold tell me that for the same money there are 'better' cars
