Ok so its worth a shot to see if. As you lot on here are usually pretty good at the obscure.

As in title W reg Avensis 1.8 petrol, the airbag light has started flashing. I've got an idea about what it might be, but want to see if anyone can confirm.

The warning light has started flashing the code 4.8.4. anyone got any ideas.




edit bit, I think its going to be a connector fault.

Not sure of the code but 9 times out of 10 air bag faults are from the connector under one of the front seats. Try disconnecting, spray some contact cleaner in and reconnect.

Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes before working on airbags or SRS components .


Nearly always the conectors under the seat -- try cleaning with switch cleaner but only 100% cure is to directly splice and solder the wires together.
