I live on the east side of the Lammermuir Hills in East Lothian. We seem to be on some low-level military flight path as we get buzzed by jets and
helicopters almost every day... just had 4 Lynx's skim my roof (sadly they didn't have 'Ride of the Valkyries' blaring out from a
sound system!).
Anyone have any idea where they are coming from and where they are going!
My best guess is they are returning to Leuchars???
i heard war has just been declared on st andrews. could be a possibility?

If its the yanks i'd watch for friendly fire
No - it was the good old british army! All perfectly safe!
Unfortunately, the areas mentioned in those Exercise notices are not near the Lammermuirs.
There are not any specific flight paths, other than straightish lines between whatever locations they are routeing to/from. There is plenty of
general low flying in that area as it is clear of controlled airspace and has a relatively good weather factor.
