exam results

so 7 weeks ago I took an exam called the GAMSAT for entrance into Graduate Medical School. It took an entire day and was the hardest exam I've ever done.

I got the results this morning and..... I passed!!

Not only that but my score placed me in the top 2% of all those examined!

I am literally over the moon. Just have to pass an interview now..

awesomeness! a guy at work had a book with all the type of questions in it.
i tried, and it was a complete skullf**k lol

Thanks so much for all the kind words. I considered going out and getting battered with my uni mates but I've come into work like a good lad. Tomorrow I'll celebrate!

I've applied for Nottingham, Keele and St Georges although I only really want to go to Notts.


I know I've got some difficult times ahead but at least the subjects will interest me more than the entrance exam (think "the breathing cycles of frogs". Studying is fine, I'm most worried about the sleep deprivation!

Wow... You will soon be working 96 Hour weeks when you get a job in a hospital.

SO... GET YOUR KIT BUILT FIRST! You wont have the time later on!.

That is SO 2006, european working time directive means as a doctor I won't be able to work more than 48 hours a week!

Not sure I'm a huge fan of fewer hours though.. I'd rather get paid than have to spend time at the hospital unpaid finishing off what I don't have time to do "officially"
