Right, sorry but it has to be done now.
OBP, stay away from if you can purely because of there service. If you have to, please please please DO NOT buy there super lightweight pedal box.
I bought one, after two weeks wondered where it was, turns out they weren;t to sure why but eventually turned up, not a major problem.
After sales service was brilliant at first, replied within at least an hour each time with helpful info and useful downloads.
Then when i try to assemble it, i find that it doesn;t fit together purely because the box is soo small the master cylinder for the clucth has to hang
out the back of it by an INCH even if using all the thread for adjustment.
There answer to this is to space it out.....now to me thats wrong in the first place, let alone having to make it yourself.
Why after spending 350quid on something am i having to make parts to make the thing fit together??????
After asking if they could supply one, i had no repsonse, not even after a couple of emails, over a week later they repsond with our service is
good...... Not in my eyes. Its complete shite.
Sorry to rant but i want people to be aware of this before you splash the cash then are left with an expesiver bit of kit you have to finish
making.
My adivce.....buy a cheap one that looks identical ffrom Comp brake, whos service aint great but for alot less you wont mind cutting it up or the crap
service.
Joe
but they have cracking SPECIAL SUPER DOOPER CRAZY BONKERS DISCOUNT SALES!
Never dealt with them personally. Sorry to hear it didn't work out.
specials must be there so they get some sales at least...lol
I htought i would pay more for a better product and service as tired of buying cheaper and buying again. Didn't really work out though...lol
Never again
If were you I would return it to OBP with a note explaining why it is unsuitable and ask for a refund.
I bought the standard floor mount set last year and couldn't fault them. I had to cut a bit of the brake m/c pushrods to allow the pedal to be where I wanted it and I had to make a new shorter push rod for the clutch m/c but I have had to do these things with all previous pedal boxes that I have bought from various suppliers. I think that these sorts of mods go with the territory.
I agree with goaty, I had the same issue with having to space the cylinder out, figured it out myself and didn't use thier help line but still poor quality product for the price.
