morning all!
its 3:55am and i've already been up for half an hour getting ready for work! can you believe it i've been there a week and they have me on
the early shift already! got to be in work for 6am in Milton Keynes, 45 miles away, whichs takes about an hour.
Anyone else have to get up at silly o'clock in the morning for there jobs?
Alex
up at 5.30 for starting work at 7am, and only in for 4 hours
it's 5:50. Just got up because of the rain. I have to be at work at 9 but i always go at 8 so i can miss the traffic.
Up a 05:00, first work for 9 months and it runs until Xmas, i got paid last week and i feel like a millionare, starting to think obout upgrades
already
Alot of the jobs we do on the fibre network in london have a 01:00 to 06:00
working window.
so get to site for 12:00 and usually on way home by 4:00.
Up at 5.30 to get to work for 6.30-7. Load the vans, get the delivery into the freezer, head off for college (45min drive), leave college at 6.15 for
the 1 1/2 hr drive home
Have a nice day!
Up at 5.30 everyday, leave at 6 to get to work for 7. Not home until 6pm, but only do a 4 day week so there are some advantages
up at 3.45, drive for an hour. pick up van and guys. Then drive to burnley (again) total about 320miles.
That's pretty much every monday, back friday
If working in london, it'll be up about 4am into london, home by 8pm
everyday.
Well
I normally wake up every day at 6am.
Leave home at 6:45am so i can get to work by 8:15am.
I leave work at 5:00pm every day for the 1.5 hours drive back home.
Forgot, Wednesdays I finish at 9:00-9:30pm so i normaly get back home at 10:30-11:00pm.
I used to have to get up at 05:00, to get to work for 06:30, drive an hour into work, work a 12 hour shift, then drive home and go to bed at 11. This
was shift work so the time off was nice.
Not im up between 05:30 and 06:00 to get an hour by train to london, then finish at around 06:00 5 days a week.
Want to work for myself, or somewhere where im used to myh full potential and not dumbed down.
Day off today so just got up, normally start between 4 and 5.30 am so up anytime from 3.15, usally back home for about 1 so its not all bad.
up at 5 this morning with the little boy, got him back to sleep then did the chores, swept and mopped kitchen and dining room, put on washing, emptied
dishwasher, tidied lounge got lads milk ready, made tea for wife, gave the boy his milk, woke the wife with tea and headed off to work for 8.
thought i should make an effort as was out saturday night with the lads so was effectively a bit useless till noon on sunday!
some of you guys are working crazy hours. make me feel very lucky to live so close to work (bout five mins) and not have to do shifts anymore.

This great, i love hearing about other people having to do do horrible hours aswell, most of my mates work 9-5 and haven't even thought about waking up by the time i'm at work!
Not too bad this week as I'm not travelling, but it's quite common for me to be up at 3:15 on a monday morning
Generally work from home, so up around 7am when the kids wake me up, feed them, get them off to school/nursery, back home, make coffee, fire up
computer and start reading some emails by about 9am. Finish around 5, get kids, feed them, bath them and put them to bed by about 7:30pm. Get some
scran, back on the PC for a couple more hours to finish the day off.
Then again, if it's a customer visit day it's out the door at 5-6am drive 4-500 miles around the UK, maybe overnight somewhere and then same
again the next day - love driving though so no hardship there
Normally up at 5.30leave around 6.15 to miss the traffic, hour and a half drive to Martlesham then back home around 6.30. As least we have jobs to go to.
I wake up early anyway so I fill my time doing some chores then cycle to work 2-3 times a week at 6:30AM which takes an hour each way (dark, rain and wind no issue for me). I leave at 4:30PM but work in an office so not so bad.
Nope wake up about 1pm then back to bed 3-5 and off to work at 8pm start at 9pm and finish at 7am. Bloody night shifts this week. I'll be like a
zombie driving home but I'll be able to wave at all the commuters dragging their tired ares to work while I go home to bed.
well i've only got 2 hours to go and im off home, pretty chilled out day here to be honest, lots of free 'wild bean coffee' too
Alarm goes off at 5am and up by 5:15 and in the shower - out of house by 5:45 for an 50 min (45mile) drive dependant on traffic so into work about
7am
Work till about 4pm then head home (1-1/2hr) same 45miles.
You think you've got it bad!!
Up at 8.15, brekky and cup of tea, then have to cycle 5 miles to work to start at 9. Clock off at 5.30 then i have to cycle AGAIN 5 miles home to a
nice warm meal and a beaming smile from my 18 month old.......oh hang on it's not that bad really is it...
My alarm goes off at 5.30 t get up and get to work for 7. Dont normally get up til 6. This morning was half 6.
When i finished school I used to work in a chicken factory and started at 4 in the morning home at 4 tea shower then out to work at tesco in the
evening. I was loaded for a bit.
