Having only recently discovered this most excellent forum, I have been spending an unhealthy amount of time reading past threads and gleaning valuable information.

However my girlfriend is getting suspicious.
She thinks I am engaging in a depraved and perverse pastime and all you lovely forum members are involved in similar activities.
Writing dirty messages and swapping filthy tales.

Could you please post some replies to convince her otherwise...!

Yes, we are all sad petrolheads trying to achieve a certain degree of satisfaction you will not get from simply buying a car. Hand crafting one is the ultimate feeling!

Not only does it take almost every free hour you have when building it, you get so much satisfaction that you can't stop driving it then!
