So, My wife booked us a holiday in paigton next year.....
So tell me:
- Where are nearest kit-car parts dealers
(i'm driving from dover-paigton)
And to keep wife and childern satisfied:
- where to go around may
thx for the help!
I suspect you mean Paignton
Totnes motor museum is always worth a look and they have a fantastic model shop attached.

Exeter has some good scrap yards - if that is what you are after, but not sure about Paignton itself. Quantum are half an hour down the coast near
Salcombe.
The zoo at Paignton is good (if you like that sort of thing). Otherwise, get out and enjoy the beaches, ice creams, cream teas etc. Dartmoor is a
short drive away, as is Exeter, which the Mrs will love for shopping!

I suspect you're right.
Stupid fingers (as Homer might say.)
I was amazed how many Dutch registered cars I saw in North Devon last summer - presumably the exache rates make it a cheap holiday?
Stu
Totnes motor museum is no more I'm afraid.
There is (or certainly was) a hillclimb venue on the way towards Exeter from Paignton. It was on the road of a chalet site but you'd need to do
a search to find the details.
For the family there is the House of Marbles near Bovey Tracey (which you may even find interesting yourself) and China Blue in Totnes where the
children can decorate ceramic pots and models.
I think Dartmouth is also a good day out and you can go by steam train direct from Paignton station.
We've been going out of season to Paignton for something like 30 years so if you need some advice you can always U2U.
John.

there's no kit car dealers down this way really, but the moors is a good place for a quick senic blast if you go when the traffic is light,
theres a hillclimb on at mamhead which is about 25 mins from paignton on 29th 30th may and 31st and 1st aug, also at wiscombe which is about an hour
away on the weekend of 15-17th may, there's always a good selection of cars at those.

Thanks for all the reply, you made my wife happy, as UK was mine idea.
BTW: shopping for the mrs is not an option
A little drive for side-seeing is no problem. So keep sending options
I'm going to google now.
The little parts, such as dzus-fastners, bonnet catches etc. not near? Are there no good internet-shops?
Only a few weeks now, so I put this thread in sight again.
I like to take some parts for my locost on the way back.
Can anyone tell me where to find parts on the drive Paignton to Dover?
Small shiny bits/parts like bonnet-catches etc. OR a complete Locost for bargain
http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/home/index.html is well worth a visit if you are passing, either on the way, or the way back.

Beaten to it, I was going to suggest haynes. Boverington tank museum is awesome, I spent 5 hours there and didn't see everything.
on the locosters locations map there are manufacturers, I belive GTS Is on the north Kent coast so is sort of on the way if you take the M2 to london.
Bovington is very good, but if the wife and kids don't fancy it, drop them off at Monkey World just up the road and do the tank museum yourself

drive on down to cornwall...there are some manufacturers down here...
Monkey world is Great too, and you'll see some strange things there.
Without being to graphic, I saw something the size and shape of easter eggs last time I was there
