OT anu circuit board wizards out there

I have an electric fire 2 1/2 years old its only ever been used for the fancy flame effect. however it decided to go pop and blow a bulb. Changed the bulb nothing happens no lights com on no fan comes on. The heater element and the infra red all work but there is nothing else. Checked the fuse all ok. I removed the circuit board to find that part of it has been burnt away looks to be beneath a relay .

The company who made the fire have been partially taken over, just my luck its the gas fire side of the company that has been saved.

Question is where could I obtain a new board from ? or could any one on LCB take a look at it and effect a repair?

If its the copper track that has burnt you can link it together by soldering a piece of thin copper wire between the ends and then carefully tin across and bridge the gap, pretty straight forward if you have a soldering Iron.

Done all the time in Industry.

Can you post up some pics?

Sounds like it should be easy enough to rectify and might identify what caused it in the first place - pretty naff design if a failed bulb caused it!

also foud that one of the spade connectors solered to the board has a very poor connection this being for the neutral connection so could this have caused the problem. I will try the solderr route and see what happens. If Im not back in an hour or two there will be a cheap golf and locost up for sale and I will be looking down on you all LOL

or other way round - hwatever the componenet was, it failed taking the bulb with it.

post some photo - depending what other components are on the board, it may be an easy fix.

Sometimes when a bulb dies the legs supporting the element inside collapse and cause a short i.e. increased current flow - damaged copper track.

when the bulb blew there where 2 holes across the bayonet fitting

Easiest way to repair the board is to use fuse wire as it's already tinned.
