Duct Tape
T66 - 9/1/10 at 09:17 PM

During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME !

If it moves and it shouldn't = Duct tape
If it doesn't move and it should = WD40/Hammer

Russ is correct,
Duct tape is like the force, it has a light side adark side and holds the universe together.

Nothing wrong with that repair, i've signed off worse

3 cases of duct-tape!

That comes to more than £250 straight away.

I used to carry a small roll of duct tape and a couple of dozen cable ties on the bike, and in the old dutton.

I think i might need more than that in the current kit, so i now carry a bag full of tools!!

Duct tape = Bodge tape = Gaffer Tape BUT
should also be known as Tank Tape.

Main use was to be stuck over a row of rivets and protect the rubber fuel tanks in 1950-1970's aircraft structures from rubbing against the rivet tails and leaking.

Saw a 'Mythbusters' programme where they built a sailing boat from duct tape and a cannon!
They both worked.......

I was wondering why they used the cannon to build a boat... untill I re-read it.

Three things there should be in every tool box.
A hammer, a roll of gaffer tpe and a condom. If you can't fix it with the first 2 then F*** it!
